Boilerplate

Standard

SolarGridCheck is an independent, free grid-viability tool for UK landowners and businesses. It assesses whether land can host a solar farm or battery storage project using published substation data from all six GB Distribution Network Operators, the government's Renewable Energy Planning Database, and NESO transmission data. It is operated by Known by One, LLC.

One-liner

SolarGridCheck: a free tool that tells UK landowners whether their land can connect to the electricity grid.

Writing the name

  • In text, write SolarGridCheck as one word with capital S, G and C.
  • The spaced form “Solar Grid Check” appears only inside the logo lockup. Do not use it in copy.
  • Do not write “Solargridcheck”, “solar grid check” or “SGC” on first reference.
