EcoFlow DELTA 3 Review (UK)

A 1,024 Wh station that charges in 56 minutes and expands to 5 kWh, sold in three versions. The £649 DELTA 3 is the awkward middle one: the Plus doubles its solar input for £50 more and the Classic drops expansion for £150 less.

How We Reviewed It

We have not tested this unit ourselves. This review is built from EcoFlow UK's DELTA 3 Series product page and spec table, its DELTA 3 Classic page, its own DELTA 3 buyer's guide and its UK warranty policy, read on 25 October 2026, and compares the three DELTA 3 versions with their rivals on the makers' own figures. EcoFlow says its charging and noise figures are internal test results that vary with conditions. Prices come live from EcoFlow's UK store and from Amazon, and update twice a day.

Verdict

EcoFlow DELTA 3

The DELTA 3 is a 1,024 Wh LiFePO4 station with 1,800 W of output (2,400 W devices through X-Boost), a full mains charge in 56 minutes, a 10 ms UPS and expansion to 5 kWh with EcoFlow extra batteries. Those figures are the same on the DELTA 3 Plus, which adds a second 500 W solar port, 140 W USB-C and NAS shutdown support, and most of them are the same on the DELTA 3 Classic, which gives up expansion and the 12 V outputs. Buy the Plus if you charge from solar or want the DELTA 3 at all; buy the Classic if you will never expand it; buy this one only on sale. On 26 Oct 2026 it was £649 at EcoFlow UK and £649 on Amazon. At that price the DELTA 3 Plus (£699 list) costs £50 more for twice the solar input and the DELTA 3 Classic (£499 list) costs £150 less for the same capacity and output, so pick one of those two unless this one is discounted.

Buy it if

  • You want EcoFlow expansion at the lowest price: it takes DELTA 3, DELTA Pro 3, DELTA 2 and DELTA 2 Max extra batteries, up to 5 kWh
  • You need 12 V outputs: a 126 W car socket and two DC5521 ports, which the Classic does not have
  • You charge from the mains between uses: 1,500 W input and a full charge in 56 minutes
  • You want a 10 ms UPS for a router, PC or CPAP machine, with storm warnings in the app

Skip it if

  • You charge from solar: the DELTA 3 Plus takes 1,000 W over two ports against 500 W here, for £50 more at list price
  • You will never expand it or use 12 V outputs: the DELTA 3 Classic has the same 1,024 Wh and 1,800 W for £150 less
  • You carry it often: 12.5 kg, against 11.5 kg for the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 and 11.3 kg for the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2
  • You need more than 1,800 W continuous: the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 gives 2,000 W

What It Will Run, and for How Long

The AC sockets give 1,800 W continuous, and X-Boost lets devices rated up to 2,400 W run at reduced power, so a 3 kW kettle is out; the table stops at 1,800 W. The runtimes below use Jackery's runtime calculator, the only runtime formula a maker publishes: 82% of the 1,024 Wh is usable, and AC loads also pay the inverter's own 15 W. EcoFlow publishes no formula of its own, so treat these as estimates. Real runtimes vary with the device and the temperature.

Charging: Mains, Solar and Car

Mains

X-Stream charging at 1,500 W takes it from empty to full in 56 minutes on all three versions (the Classic: 1,400 W, 80% in 45 minutes and full in 60). Mains and solar together are capped at the same 1,500 W. There is no quiet or slow charging figure on the UK page; the app lets you turn the charging speed down.

Solar

The DELTA 3 has one DC input, 11–60 V and 500 W, which EcoFlow quotes at about 130 minutes to full. The DELTA 3 Plus has two, 2 × 500 W, for about 70 minutes with 1,000 W of panels. EcoFlow panels have a built-in XT60 cable; third-party panels need its MC4 to XT60 cable, sold separately. See which panels fit in our portable solar panels guide.

Car

EcoFlow's page lists its 800 W Alternator Charger (sold separately) at about 1.3 hours to full, and its Smart Generator at 1,500 W. It gives no figure for charging from a 12 V cigarette socket on this page.

EcoFlow says every time on its page is an internal test result that varies with temperature, humidity and equipment, so treat them as best cases.

DELTA 3 vs DELTA 3 Plus vs DELTA 3 Classic, Anker and BLUETTI

The three DELTA 3 versions share the 1,024 Wh pack, 1,800 W output and 10 ms UPS; they differ on solar input, ports, expansion and price. The Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2 and BLUETTI Elite 100 V2 are the 1 kWh rivals we rank above it. Figures are from each maker's UK page.

DELTA 3 Classic figures are from its own EcoFlow UK page, whose spec table says 3+2 years of warranty while EcoFlow's warranty policy table lists the Classic at 5 years; we show both. Anker's and BLUETTI's figures are from their UK pages and manuals, as used in our other reviews.

Warranty: Read the Conditions

  • Five years for the DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Plus, DELTA 3 Classic and DELTA 3 1500, per the warranty table on EcoFlow UK's policy page. The DELTA 3 Max and Max Plus get 3 years plus 2 on registration in the app, and the Classic's own product page also says 3+2, so register whichever you buy.
  • Register at ecoflow.com/eu/support/warranty. Cables, chargers and adapters cannot be registered; they carry 24 months.
  • The policy covers purchases from EcoFlow official websites and stores. For a purchase from an authorised dealer or reseller you contact the dealer first, and EcoFlow may agree to take the claim.
  • Excluded: damage from unauthorised modification or disassembly, use with third-party parts EcoFlow has not approved as input or load, water or heat damage, and claims without a valid proof of purchase.
  • It is not a global warranty: service is at a designated EcoFlow repair centre, and a unit bought in another region may be repaired at an extra charge if parts allow.
  • UK and Ireland orders from official or authorised channels can be replaced within 30 days of delivery through support.eu@ecoflow.com, with an RMA number and the original packaging.

Pros

  • Full mains charge in 56 minutes at 1,500 W
  • Expands to 5 kWh with four kinds of EcoFlow extra battery
  • 11 outputs including a 126 W car socket and two DC5521 ports
  • Under 10 ms UPS switchover and under 30 dB at 600 W
  • 4,000 cycles to 80% and a 5-year warranty
  • The 5% EcoFlow affiliate code applies at EcoFlow UK

Cons

  • Only 500 W of solar input, half the DELTA 3 Plus and the BLUETTI Elite 100 V2
  • £50 under the Plus and £150 over the Classic at list price: hard to justify at £649
  • 12.5 kg, the heaviest 1 kWh station we compare
  • 1,800 W continuous, below the Anker SOLIX C1000 Gen 2
  • No 12 V socket charging time or operating temperature range on the UK page
  • EcoFlow calls its charging and noise figures internal test results

Frequently Asked Questions

Four things, on EcoFlow UK's spec table. The Plus has two solar inputs (2 × 500 W, full in about 70 minutes) against one 500 W input (about 130 minutes); 140 W USB-C ports against 100 W; 36 W USB-A ports against 18 W; and NAS/HID support on its UPS, which tells a NAS to save and shut down before the battery empties. Capacity (1,024 Wh), output (1,800 W, 3,600 W surge), the 56-minute mains charge, weight (12.5 kg), expansion to 5 kWh and the 5-year warranty are the same. On 25 October 2026 EcoFlow UK listed the DELTA 3 at £649 and the Plus at £699.
The Classic is the same 1,024 Wh and 1,800 W for £499 against £649, but it cannot take an extra battery, has no 12 V car socket or DC5521 outputs, has 5 outlets against 13 (one USB-A, one 100 W and one 30 W USB-C), charges at 1,400 W (80% in 45 minutes, full in 60) and weighs 12.1 kg. If you will never expand it and do not need 12 V outputs, the Classic is the better buy. If you want expansion, the DELTA 3 Plus is the one to compare it with, not the DELTA 3.
From the mains, 56 minutes to full at 1,500 W (EcoFlow's X-Stream figure). From solar, about 130 minutes with the DELTA 3's single 500 W input, or about 70 minutes on the DELTA 3 Plus with 1,000 W of panels. With EcoFlow's 800 W Alternator Charger, about 1.3 hours. Mains and solar together are limited to 1,500 W, so they do not add up.
Yes. The DELTA 3 and DELTA 3 Plus take the DELTA 3 Extra Battery (1 kWh, 398 × 200 × 198 mm), the DELTA Pro 3 Extra Battery, the DELTA 2 Extra Battery and the DELTA 2 Max Extra Battery, up to 5 kWh in total. The DELTA 3 Classic has no extra battery port.
Anything rated up to 1,800 W continuously, with 3,600 W of surge for motors starting, and devices rated up to 2,400 W at reduced power through X-Boost (EcoFlow names ovens, hair dryers and kettles). A 3 kW kettle is beyond it. For how long each device runs, the table on this page uses Jackery's runtime formula, the only one a maker publishes; EcoFlow publishes no formula of its own.
Yes. EcoFlow quotes a switchover of under 10 ms when the mains fails on both the DELTA 3 and the Plus, with storm warnings and power-cut reminders in the app. Only the Plus supports NAS and HID signalling, which needs the EcoFlow PowerManager app and NUT server software on the NAS.
Under 30 dB at 600 W of load and under 40 dB at 1,200 W, by EcoFlow's internal tests. The Classic adds a 50 dB figure at full output.
No. EcoFlow rates the battery pack IP65, which covers the pack inside, not the whole station; the Classic's spec table lists IP20 for the complete product. Keep it out of the rain.
Five years for the DELTA 3, DELTA 3 Plus, DELTA 3 Classic and DELTA 3 1500 in EcoFlow UK's warranty table; the DELTA 3 Max gets 3 years plus 2 on registration. The policy covers EcoFlow's own stores and authorised dealers, excludes damage from unapproved third-party parts, and is not global: repairs are at a designated EcoFlow centre.
The DELTA 3 Max is the 2,048 Wh version, expandable from 2 to 10 kWh, with the same under 10 ms UPS, listed at £1,199 (Max) and £1,399 (Max Plus) on EcoFlow UK on 25 October 2026 against £649 for the DELTA 3. Its warranty is 3 years plus 2 on registration, not a flat 5. For 2 kWh stations we compare the BLUETTI Elite 200 V2 and Jackery Explorer 2000 Plus v2 in our guide.
